A rare folk stool or miniature chair carved in oak. It is made in a primitive style brought to Transylvania by the Saxon people. This example is of exceptional quality, carved in thick oak with gnarled legs. The support has incised decoration and a circular cut-out.

This diminutive stool can be used to display objects and would make a great bedside stand. It could also be used as a chair for a large doll or teddy bear.

It measures 62 x 28 x 29 cm.
